Zamar
Department Ensemble
Zamar Gospel Choir is a vibrant student-run ensemble. They are a very close community of people from across the campus who love to sing and have fun together. They sing all kinds of repertoire including songs from musicals, worship music and traditional gospel tunes. They even perform in purple robes, and have a tradition of wearing glitter on concert days! They perform harmonically challenging music as well as the more traditional call and response songs. Zamar is very inclusive and non-music students are equally encouraged to join.
Audition Information
Zamar is non-auditioned - everyone is welcome. They learn the music by ear, so don’t worry if you can’t read music! Auditions for solos are held after rehearsals during term time.
